Fashion Week starts Wednesday

Athens Fashion Week will celebrate both local and national designers and their latest work this week at the Classic Center.

The three-day show that starts Wednesday will welcome designers of women's, men's and children's fashion. The different events will benefit the Georgia 4-H Foundation and

Bundles a Joy, an organization that supports premature babies and their families.

Here's a list of all the events:

Wednesday

11 a.m. - Phaedra Parks, one of Bravo TV's "Real Housewives of Atlanta," will host the Sip and See Children's Fashion Show.

Proceeds from the show will benefit Bundles of Joy.

6 p.m. - The Men's Fashion Show will showcase the trendy and eclectic styles worn by University of Georgia students.

"Each of the designers that will be showcased on Wednesday were selected with students in mind," said Richie Knight, head of the steering committee of Athens Fashion Week. "The

looks that will be displayed are ready-to-wear right off the runway."

The show will feature clothes by Ralph Lauren, Southern Marsh, Southern Proper and Otter Bay Company. Designers Judith March and Emma Graham also will unveil their spring and

fall collections.

9 p.m. - The Victoria's Secret Show is the main event of the evening, which will feature the new summer swimsuit line.
